New year, new JOB... Day 1.

It's kinda weird.

For over 5 years, I've been maintaining a network that I built from the ground up. Every server, every desktop, every piece of hardware and software... I installed.

I knew where every file was stored, and the IP numbers of most of the network off the top of my head.... now I'm at a new place, trying to acclimate myself.

My new job is a similar networking job, but it's for a larger company (I'm now at a corporation central headquarters instead of a branch) so there are a lot more users, more machines, and more challenges. I'm glad because my old job became so boring, I could almost feel my braincells evaporating with each new day.

I likely won't be online as much, but at this point, I don't even have an office or laptop to myself.... I'm just using a loaner.

Time to go shopping. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

I am taking Jor's lead and going with one of the HP NX9600 notebooks... full sized keyboard with keypad, and a 17" widescreen and DVD burner (for backing up large amounts of network data. [img]wink.gif[/img] )
